A look at my October challenge winners

A look at my October challenge winners

It was SO hard to choose winners, everyone who submitted was AMAZING. Thank you to each of you that entered. At the end of each challenge I am motivated, inspired and in tears by everyone of your inner/outer transformations. As always, I wanted to take some time to share a little bit about each of my winners.

1st place winner:
(Who will receive a prize of $500)

Jessica Navarrete

Here is her story: By the time I found out I was pregnant with my son in 2016 my weight had reached 210lbs I knew I needed to make some changes but I really didnt know where to start. At the end of my second pregnancy i had only gained 30lbs but after my son was born I was still sitting at 219lbs and couldnt seem to stop eating. I managed through various “fad” diets to lost another 10lbs but for the last 6 months i could not seem to lose any more weight. When i found Carli’s meal plan I was ready to try just about anything, I started working out 30 minutes a day a few times a week and stuck to the meal plan religiously and I am so proud to say that 8 weeks later I am officially down to 196lbs! This is the first time I have been under 200lbs in years!! I am getting married next month and although I have not reached my goal weight yet I am SO much more confident and closer to it than i was 2 months ago mentally and physically, I know that I will reach my goal eventually and thank you so much Carli for providing me with the tools that give me the confidence and motivation to keep going!”

2nd place winner:
(Who will receive a prize of $200)

McKenzie Henderson

Here is her story: “Is it too cheesy to say your meal plan has changed my life?

I’ve tried so many times to change how I ate, but I never could stick to anything. It was too complicated and I always got overwhelmed and would just give up. But you’ve made it SO easy. I haven’t even had to look at the plan much anymore because you truly have taught me how to eat. I feel so light. If that makes sense? And I can definitely tell when I don’t follow your plan because life is a lot harder. I feel so bloated, sluggish, sick, unmotivated and just gross.

The one thing that I find absolutely fascinating is my before picture. I was working out intensely 5-6 days a week, and the after picture, I’ve set foot in a gym three times in the eight weeks total.
So, the fact that I was able to get better results simply by changing my diet is incredible and I cannot wait to get back to my normal exercise routine and still follow your meal plan. (Thanksgiving and Christmas has definitely slowed my progress to what it could’ve been)

Moral of the story. Your plan is simplicity at its finest. THANK YOU for making my life better.”

3rd place winners:
(Who will receive a prize of $100)

I couldn’t pick just one winner, so all of these wonderful people tied for 3rd place! SO proud of them!!!

Justin Malden

“There was a lot of grumbling in those first couple of weeks. Eating stopped being fun, it stopped being convenient. I had to cut out a quick go-to foods for stuff that took time to prepare. In reality the prep time was the same, the foods were just unfamiliar or non-routine. As I grew accustomed to the new food choices, I found things I liked, substituted where I could, and added calories when appropriate. It really did become a challenge to see how I could make it work for me.
And you know what, it didn’t take long before the scale started ticking down, my love handles and stomach got smaller and my energy began to increase. Maybe it was more an increase in personal pride that I was accomplishing something more than just being a support to my wife. I was seeing a change in myself for the better.
Like I said before, I have been the same body type for a long time and after this challenge I have not transformed to someone who looks all that different. I’ve lost 13 lbs over the past 8 weeks. Those pounds are not life changing, but I can see now that they represented negligence and laziness.
Moderate eating now means something different to me. I should remain moderate about junk food, but there is nothing wrong with being immoderate with the healthy stuff. I’m eager to maintain a more healthy diet and add more exercise to my routine to ensure that  my energy continues to rise. I want to be around for my wife and kids and live a full life with them and for them. This challenge has helped me realize that there are simple changes I can make that will have a large impact toward those goals.”

“After the first week of following the meal plan I started to feel results. I was sleeping better, had more energy to play with my girls and I was even able to complete workouts I had previously given up on.

I followed  your Instagram and Facebook pages which  helped me stay motivated throughout the process. I wasn’t alone.”

Kelly Kunz

“I love your recipes, I love that I can have a sweet treat at night, and I’m craving the spinach smoothie, just like you said I would!”

Brittany Holcomb

“I decided I needed to make a change, I wanted to feel happy in my own skin. I signed  up for the meal plan and figured even if it was a sham and I couldnt stick to it at least I wouldn’t be out a ton of money. Here we are 8 weeks later.”
